Banana Bread

This Banana Bread is perfectly sweet, moist, and full of flavor, and enjoyable plain, with chopped walnuts, or even chocolate chips. 


Makes 1 loaf


  • ½ Cup Queen Honey Orange Blossom Honey
  • 1/3 Cup Butter
  • 1 tsp Vanilla
  • 2 Eggs
  • ½ Cup All-Purpose Flour
  • ¾ Cup Whole Wheat Flour
  • ½ Cup Quick-Cooking Oats
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • 1 Cup Mashed Ripe Banana
  • ½ Cup chopped Walnuts or Chocolate Chips (Add only if you wish too)


  1. Preheat Oven to 325°F
  2. Use Crisco to coat a clean mixing bowl
  3. Use a 9x5x3-inch Loaf Pans, lightly coated with Crisco
  4. Cream Honey and Butter in a large bowl with an electric mixer until fluffy
  5. Add Vanilla to the mixture
  6. Add eggs to the mixture, one at a time, beating well after each addition
  7. Combine Dry Ingredients in a Small Bowl; add to Honey mixture alternating with the Bananas, blend well
  8. Stir in walnuts (if you wish too)
  9. Spoon batter into greased Loaf Pan
  10. Bake for 50 to 55 minutes or until a wooden toothpick inserted near center comes out clean
  11. Remove from Loaf Pan and let cool on a wire rack
